The Damned - Fuck Off & Die - Live at the Whiskey a go go (1979)



I couldn't name the blog "13th Floor Vendetta" and not have some Damned on the first day.  Here's a great live gig by THEE best punk band of all time.  This shows them at their chaotic best, insulting the crowd, fucking up, ripping up their own, and others, songs as they tear through their set.

    Great to see this pic again - the School Bullies at the Bridgehouse 7th Sept 1979 backed by Cockney Rejects, a gig I was at. The School Bullies had also played there on 12th March '79. An April '79 gig at the Moonlight in West Hampstead was released as "The School Bullies live" but is now unobtainable.

    To save Neil re-upping the Whiskey gig, you'll find it in FLAC and mp3 @192 at the link below; in the comments to that post I have upped some pics of the March Bridgehouse gig, a Just Can't Be Happy promo poster and Chiswick promo postcard from '79. Neil, you wouldn't happen to have an unmarked copy of the September Bridgehouse pic above, would you? Memories, oh memories ... cheers, Dave Sez.

    I still have that can't be happy poster somewhere. I have a box stored with about 300 posters in it, including a poster from every gig the Damned did in late '81......I should dig those out one day.
